Mussar is a Jewish path of spiritual development that leads to awareness, wisdom, and transformation. This course will explore 6 different character traits/middot. As we explore these middot, we will begin to evolve a better understanding of our true nature and acquire tools that can help us break through barriers that have prevented us from becoming our best selves.

The course identifies middot/traits that are active when engaging in difficult conversations. Using the wisdom of Mussar combined with the guidelines outlined in Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication, we will discover new ways of approaching difficult conversations. During the High Holiday season, we reflect on those areas in our lives where we would like to enhance. Many of us make commitments at Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur that we find difficult to sustain during the New Year.
