Adult Community Engagement

Adult Community Engagement

At Temple Shir Tikva we value community. The Adult Community Engagement (ACE) committee is focused on developing programming that spans many areas of interests, with the goal of having enough variety that everyone in our community will find something that is of interest to them, providing them the opportunity to do things with others in our community. Some of the activities that ACE has planned in the past include progressive dinners, brisket bake-offs, comedy nights, hikes, performances, museum trips, cooking, and golf outings.

Our recent ACE Fall Hike up Mt Kearsarge in New Hampshire!

Since the late 1980s and early 1990s, Shir Tikva’s “empty nesters” group, Reyim, has been a vibrant part of our community. Now a cornerstone of Adult Community Engagement (ACE), Reyim is dedicated to serving the 60+ community while warmly welcoming adults of all ages to its events. Unlike traditional adult education programs, Reyim emphasizes building connections, fostering friendships, and creating opportunities for meaningful socialization, all enriched by a learning component. Most events take place after Kabbalat Shabbat services (6:15–7:15 PM) and feature Shabbat dinner and a guest speaker, concluding by 9:00 PM.

We are continuously coming up with new programs and are always open to new ideas. If there is something you would like to see happen or you would be interested in joining the committee, please email us at .
