Mental Health Initiative

We all recognize that “life is complicated.”  This is true in typical times, yet it’s especially been true during the pandemic.  We have all been touched in various ways, and the TST Mental Health Initiative (MHI) provides programming and events each year to help us all learn, cope and provide fellowship and advocacy for each other.  This Committee is pleased to  provide a Resource Guide linked below, which anyone may reference during a time of need.  Please also know that our Clergy are always available for private consultation and conversation.

The Mission of the Mental Health Initiative is to ensure that Temple Shir Tikva is a warm, friendly, welcoming and supportive community for congregants, their families, visitors and others whose lives have been touched and affected by psychiatric, psychological, substance use issues, and/or emotional difficulties because…

“Real life is complicated.”

The TST Mental Health Initiative has created the resource guide below to address the needs of our community and fulfill its mission.

The Resource Guide is a tool for congregants and families to find help and other resources if they or a loved one is experiencing psychiatric, psychological, emotional or substance use challenges.

Click on the image below to access the Resource Guide and learn more about types of mental health professionals, levels of care, and how to navigate insurance, and contact information for local and national resources addressing urgent mental health, ongoing care, and specialized needs.

Thank you to the TST Mental Health Initiative, our friends at Temple Shalom of Newton, and Andie Watson for collaborating on this resource guide.
