Welcome from Rabbi Danny

Welcome from Rabbi Danny

Rabbi Danny Burkeman at Temple Shir Tikva

I am delighted to welcome you to our Temple Shir Tikva website. It is my pleasure to open our digital doors for you, and I hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you in person soon.

Seven years ago, when my family and I arrived in Wayland, I was struck by the warmth of welcome and the way that the Temple Shir Tikva embraced us as part of the family immediately. This was the welcome I received as the Rabbi, and it is the welcome that I hope everyone receives when they walk through our doors.

Here at Temple Shir Tikva, we aspire to be the heart of Jewish living and practice in MetroWest and to make Judaism relevant and meaningful for the 21st century.

Whoever you are, wherever you come from, whatever your Jewish experience has been, we hope that you will find a home here as part of our community. One of our most important values is inclusivity; we want everyone to be welcomed regardless of age, gender, sexuality, religious tradition, race, or background. We pride ourselves on being a diverse community of people who were born Jewish, who chose Judaism, who are part of a Jewish family, or who are Jewish adjacent.

  • If you are Jewish or part of a Jewish family and looking for a synagogue community, we would love to tell you a little bit about our synagogue.
  • If you have connections to the Jewish community, please know that we are here as a resource and support for all.
  • And if you are of another religious tradition, please know that we are here if you ever have a call or need to find out more or ask questions about Judaism.
