June 5, 2022, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for a celebration of the festival of Shavuot and the giving of Torah, as the members of our Adult B.Mitzvah class are called to the Torah for the first time as b’nei mitzvah. These fifteen individuals have studied together as a community since January 2021, exploring Jewish text, history, and practice, and learning to decode Hebrew, read Torah, and lead prayer.
Our Shavuot morning service will include Yizkor (the festival memorial service), as well as prayer and teaching led by the learners and our clergy. We will conclude with a festive gathering with a light lunch. Contributions to the potluck are greatly appreciated.
Masks will be required. Registration is required, as space is limited. See Weekly Schedule and newsletter for registration details.
