Moving Traditions

TSTeen has re-introduced Moving Traditions (Rosh Hodesh and Shevet) program groups. The mission of Moving Traditions, is to “embolden teens by fostering self-discovery, challenging sexism, and inspiring a commitment to Jewish life and learning.” Their Rosh Hodesh groups are designed for female-identifying individuals, and Shevet groups serve male-identifying teens.

In addition to Rosh Hodesh and Shevet, there will also be a Moving Traditions group for teens who identify as trans and nonbinary, called Tzelem, which will be hosted in a nearby Boston synagogue.

Our TST program groups will be running in accordance with the recommendations of Moving Traditions. Groups will include Rosh Hodesh Grades 8-12 and Shevet Grades 8-12. Groups will meet on the first Monday of every month, October 2020 to May 2021 from 7:00-8:30 pm, unless otherwise arranged with the group facilitator. An individual participation fee of $72 is required, which will cover the cost of the materials needed. If you or anyone you know may be interested in this group, please reach out to Jenna Friedman or Alison Weikel.
