Our 5th Annual Metrowest Tikkun Leil Shavuot Community Gathering*
Saturday, June 8
From 5:00 pm until shortly after Midnight
At Temple Israel of Natick

Shavuot marks the giving of the Torah and is traditionally celebrated with learning, delicious dairy treats, song, and celebration.  Please join us and rest of the Metrowest Jewish community for all or any part of the evening.

 5:00 – Songs and stories for young children

5:30 – Festive Shavuot dinner ($12/adult; $6/child), RSVP online at: tinyurl.com/ShavuotMetroWest2019

6:45 – Learning sessions led by area rabbis, cantors, and lay leaders (including a session led by our own Rabbi Jordi)

8:45 – Keynote speaker:  Dr. Lori Lefkowitz: “Oy! Was that a Close Call: The Book of Ruth and the Fundamental Jewish Story” (Dr. Lefkovitz holds the Ruderman Chair in Jewish Studies at Northeastern University, where she is a Professor of English and Director of the Humanities Center. Her book, In Scripture: The First Stories of Jewish Sexual Identities was a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award.)

9:30 – Shavuot services, cheesecake, and more learning sessions
