Classic 20th Century Jewish Stories

CLASSIC 2OTH CENTURY JEWISH STORIES.

Writers including Phillip Roth, Bernard Malamud, Saul Bellow and Isaac Bashes Singer provided incredible perspectives on Jewish life in the United States during the 20th century. Their stories are great as literature and make for interesting discussions as we judge their accuracy, compare their views with what we remember of the past and debate how – if at all – our 21st century world has changed. Title and a packet of material difficult to find will be available for pick up before we begin.

Tell us that you are coming so we can send you the readings for the first session.

Class will meet on April 2, 9 and 16 and taught by Rabbi Herman Blumberg.
