Songs for Our Souls: Dan Nichols, Artist-in-Residence

Join us at Temple Shir Tikva for a weekend of restorative Jewish music, prayer, learning, and community, with Dan Nichols as our Artist in Residence!

Few things bring people together – and make a group feel like one – like music. Songs for Our Souls and Dan Nichols will provide a spark of joy and an opportunity for deep, joyous, and meaningful togetherness when our community needs it most. We will center the joy and connectivity of song writing and song sharing, and lean into Jewish music as a spiritual salve for our mental and emotional well-being.

These events are open to the Boston Jewish community and are brought to you by Temple Shir Tikva, in partnership with Eisner and Crane Lake Camps and the Jewish Teen Initiative at CJP, powered by a CJP Teen Community Impact Grant.

Dan is a product of the URJ Jewish camping movement. He has toured Jewish summer camps across North America for the last 22 years. A classically trained singer, Dan received his Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance at the University of North Carolina. In 1995, realizing the potential of music to make powerful connections with Jewish youth, Dan established the Jewish rock band Eighteen. Since that time, Dan and Eighteen have released 13 albums, as well as being featured at conferences and conventions of nearly every major Jewish movement.
