Last night was our second “Crossing the Street 2” series with the Islamic Center of Boston.  The program with Dr. Mohamed Lazzouni has been fun and tremendously insightful – he is such a knowledgeable and generous spirit and it is such pleasure learning with him.

One illustrative moment...

Once in a while you can get inspiration from the strangest of places.

If you were wondering all the great Talmud minds of the generation have gone, go to Sports Radio. I love listening to sports call-in shows. There you will find the American intellect (really!) with all its incredible...

Looking forward to tomorrow evening, the first installment of our "Crossing the Street 2" series with my friend Dr. Mohamed Lazzouni of the Islamic Center of Boston.

We started this series two years ago - conversations with me and Dr. Lazzouni and lots of questions and answers from the...

Our expedition day from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea and Masada.  Rachel Dolgov, a student at Indiana University, is here with her parents Doug and Mona, and her brother Scott (grade 10).  The history and the desert are absolutely sublime.  Several of us read Alice Hoffman's novel "The Dovekeepers...

Our time in the desert was wonderful. Personally, I find the desert to be a remarkable spiritual and profound place. There's a reason that the Hebrew word for desert - midbar - is connected to the words for "word" - davar - and "speaking" - midaber.  The midrash...

What a wonderful group of people we have to share this amazing adventure together. Another whirlwind day comes and goes, and more incredible...
