Executive Director David Passer

David Passer joined Temple Shir Tikva as Executive Director in July 2007. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, David is a lifelong, committed Reform Jew. Professionally, during the past 20 years David has been involved in administrative, fiscal, operational and facility management in the community based, not-for-profit sector. This included almost 12 years in at two Boston area community health centers and eight years as Chief Operations Officer at the Rashi School, the Boston area’s Reform Jewish Day School. Personally, his commitment to community is evidenced by active participation in various organizations including KESHET-Boston, Combined Jewish Philanthropies, and the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts. For more than 20 years he has been an active member of Temple Israel, Boston, where he is currently co-chairperson of the Cemetery Committee and a member of its Board of Trustees. David and Marc Maxwell, his life partner of 27 years (and legal spouse since May 2004), reside in Davis Sq., Somerville. He is excited to be Temple Shir Tikva’s first Executive Director and looks forward to working with our excellent professional staff and the whole congregation.
